Meet ERASTUS

Over the past 4 years, I have worked as a UX and interaction designer across fintech, residential tech and enterprise platforms, taking end-to-end ownership of products from initial concept to developer hand-off.

At FirstBankNigeria, I owned the full interaction design process for two flagship payments products, FirstBillsPay and FirstChekout, serving merchants across West Africa. This included building a comprehensive design system with detailed anatomy and usage guidance, collaborating closely with engineers to ensure technical constraints were met without compromising the user experience and conducting quantitative UX research using task success rate, NPS and average completion time metrics. Within three months of launching, Firstchekout processed over 85million naira in transaction value and the design system, I worked on reduced task completion by 5%.

At Fundall, I led a full UX evaluation and redesign of the onboarding flow for an 85,000 user fintech app. By interpreting qualitative drop-off data and usability testing findings, I shipped an improved interaction pattern that reduced onboarding drop-off by 10% and grew user engagement by the same margin. Also, I consistently designed to meet the WCAG accessibility standards, ensuring the product was usable and inclusive across diverse user groups. This is something I consider non-negotiable in any product I work on.

More recently at Keys Community, I have been designing end-to-end residential community experiences within an agile environment, using the HMW framework to map user journeys, facilitating user feedback sessions and working proactively within and extending the existing design system, I collaborate closely with engineering, clearly articulating interaction specification and rationale which directly reduced development friction and time to task completion. As a professional designer, I am comfortable working in complex, data-rich environments and have experience using both qualitative and quantitative research to guide design prioritisation using the MosCow framework to align stakeholders on users needs while advocating for the customer when business pressure arises.
